The flavor combination of sweet blueberries, aromatic vanilla, and zesty lemon is delightful in this Blueberry Jam with Vanilla and Bean. Its excellent as a topping for desserts, as well as for spreading on toast and drizzling over pancakes.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
Instructions:
The blueberries, sugar, vanilla bean seeds, and lemon juice should all be combined in a big saucepan
Stirring continuously, heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves
Bring the mixture to a boil and then lower the heat to a simmer after the sugar has completely dissolved
The jam should be simmered for 20 to 25 minutes, or until it thickens and takes on the right consistency
Take out and discard the pod of the vanilla bean
Add the zest of the lemon and cook for a further two to three minutes
After taking the jam off the stove, allow it to cool slightly
Fill the sterilized jars with the jam, then close them
Let them cool fully
The Blueberry Jam with Vanilla and Bean should be kept somewhere cold and dark
